Deliveroo – Makers and Fakers
If you’re a Love Island fan you will definitely know Chris and Kem. The iconic duo of Love Island 2017 fame, known for their inseparable bond. Since their appearance on the show, of which Kem went on to win, the pair have become an iconic duo, never failing to bring their ‘bromance’ alive on both TV and their social channels.
For Mother’s Day 2021, Deliveroo enlisted the help of the former Love Island contestants to showcase the breadth of their offering on an important calendar moment.
To help show the wide offering available on Deliveroo, both through restaurant partners and the growing number of grocery partners, we set the pair a challenge. After a tough year for all, where spending time with family was put on hold, we wanted to give both Chris and Kim an opportunity to surprise their mums.
The best friends were set a task, to make their mum a Mother’s Day meal that she would remember, Kem was the ‘maker’ who ordered the ingredients from Co-op on Deliveroo, showcasing the ease of ordering and range available. Whereas Chris ordered a delicious meal in from Pizza Express and attempted to pass it off as his own, with a humorous outcome.
Overall the campaign achieved a reach of just under half a million, with content shared across influencers owned channels, Deliveroo’s channels and partner channels.
